RE: termination
yes you can...

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone.You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life,you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

RE: termination
can they fire you if the injury you received at work hurts you too bad to go in. The w/c doc had me return to work to soon and the restrictions he has me on my managers arent inforcing, kinda hard to inforce excessive exposure to heat and to keep the wounds clean and dry when they have you working right by the grease fryers.

RE: termination
yes. Employment covered by Family and Medical Leave Act gives a worker 12 weeks of job protection while they are off work.

Pappabear

It also helps to know the State this is in;

It would help to know, how long you been out;

It would be good to know why you ask this;

It would help to know a little history, as type injury, what is being done to treat you, and what you Doctor thinks the lenght of time you might be out of work;

RE: termination
Burned in Ky... YES they can fire you. You must return to work if the WC doc releases you to do so. You must at least try. If you cannot stand it, like i told you before, tell superior you need to see MD...or go to ER. If you do not return to work, you will be cited with non-compliance...and any WC money and med care will CEASE!

Injured worker, & tired of it all! I'm too old for games!!

A careless word may kindle strife, a cruel word may wreck a life, a timely word may level stress, and a loving word may heal and bless!

RE: termination
The only other thing that could stop them from getting rid of you would be if you are covered by a union and they had some rules on it
