my son's computer got a virus
Looks like the trojan virus on my son's computer, been trying to google some helpful tips but got a headache trying to find a good removal source.I got it to scan quite a bit but then computer locked up,called a couple of computer repair shops and they charge about 60 bucks an hour to fix it. So far I can still get online with it then it freezes up. Anyone have any suggestions on how to remove this virus. It is a e-machine windows xp computer. Thanks Halftrak

E-Machine
How old is it? Do you have the Disc to perform a system recovery? Reply's are intended solely for informational purposes. They are based on personal opinions, experience, or research and are "not to be taken as fact or legal advice", otherwise, always consult an attorney or a doctor. |

Good, go to Control panel, then click System. In system, click system restore. Restore back a month or two. Or Restore to an eairlier date works. Follow direstions and let me know what happens.

RE: my son's computer got a virus
Good Luck, I just had to have mine completly rebuilt, I also have XP. I tried everything and the more I tried the worse the problem became untill I crashed. I learned my lesson, make sure you have Virus protection, In my case I was looking for a new Anti-Virus program when it got me. So be carefull what you download......
