Big Grin update
Hi All.
I know it has been awhile and for that I am sorry. The computer was down and I spent about a month not being able to see to read any thing. Still working and have a wonderful boss and great friend. I am still Director of Nursing at a 135 bed nursing home for the mentally ill.

Sight is better but not back to full and may never get there, will have to get new glasses but the doctor wants to wait about 6 months so have a way to go.

Blood sugar is starting to stablize and that is a plus. Two more pills and and insulin daily. Don't want to have another trip to the hospital and insulin drip.

Pain is still there and will not go away. Effexor, celebrex, toradal and Advil daily. Could not take the Lyrica and it was the cause of the loss of sight and kicks the blood sugar way up.

Have been working full time and get help from everyone when having a bad day. They move things for me when needed and if they see me trying to do something that is hard they just ask. Offer to read when I am having a hard time seeing. Wish all could be so lucky. Boss has said that if the RSD gets to where I can't walk she will put me in a wheel chair and push me around.

Had a repeat EMG and it shows the RSD has spread and now going down both arms and up the neck and across the scalp. The arm is no better and now the doctors are wanting to go back to surgery and release the impendage at the elbow. I will not have it done until can't move it.

Hope all are enjoying the warm weather.

RN

May God send his angels to hold you in his arms

RE: update
Hi RNvic, Sounds like some things are going good for you. Am glad to hear that and hope that they stay that way. I've been away too had to make two trips to Indiana from Ca and that was really hard. Went back to spend time with my mom as she was real sick but after ten days she was looking real good so I came home. Three weeks later she passed away and had to go back again. Ended up with real bad pneumonia and was in the hospital. Couldn't even walk I was so sick. My back is so bad that it is causing pressure on my lungs when I walk. Am feeling some better but have a long way to go.
Anyway am glad that your doing good and back to work. Keep us posted Good Luck Bee

RE: update
Hi RNvic,
Inspirational to all , you are !
I am glad that you have such a wonderful & thoughtful boss and co-workers. I only wish I could have had such luck with my job and my last boss & co-workers. Even though they help you when needed....please take care of yourself when you "push" to revel beyond your RSD....as one has only so much fight in reserve. Please do not over-extend.
Take care, Lilly Smile
