Last known mileage that I read would be paid at $0.55 per mile. But, that can be outdated too, as it may have increased over a couple of years.

the North Carolina Industrial Commission has adopted as the mileage reimbursement for medical travel the same amount per mile as is in effect from time to time for mileage rates for use of a car for business purposes as set by the Internal Revenue Service.
