Is the insurance company playing games?
I did not receive my TTD check for last week.

My attorney signs and mails the check on Monday and I receive it on Tuesday, been this way since I started receiving the check. When there is a holiday my check runs 1 day late.

Today is Thursday and still no check so I called my attorney's office. The secretary checked with there accountant and I was told they never received the check for last week.

The TTD is per a judge's order on the knee replacement and my attorney once told me the insurance company would have to go to court to stop the TTD.

I recently received the IME report from the insurance company on the eval of my back. According to the insurance company the back problems are a result of the knee injury but past treatment has not been beneficial so no future treatment is recommended. This is bull!

The attorney for the insurance company asked my attorney what I wanted to do.
Course I told my attorney I wanted to got o court and request treatment for my back.

I wonder if this is the reason for not receiving TTD payment, Do I have a mad insurance adjuster?

And I have court next week to add the back & carpal tunnel to my claim.

To add to this my family doctor (osteopath) of 18 yrs placed me on sedentary restrictions and recommends a nerve conduction test. I am told my right leg is quite a bit weaker then my left leg. The knee replacement was on the left knee.

Bad Boy, I think your right!

Good to see you on the forum.

Do you think my primary doctor placing me on sednetary restrictions will have impact on the judge?

RE: Is the insurance company playing games?
The court order on the medical treatment & TTD is dated Feb 08, I did not start receiving TTD until June 23, 08 which started on that date.

I did not say anything because any money I am paid now comes off of my settlement and I am receiving SSD.

Guess if the insurance company plays dirty I will have my attorney file for back TTD.

Hi BK....
Possibly IC payment person was on vacation for a couple weeks? I hope this is the case. Over Christmas...I too, did not receive a payment that week, but I received two checks late in the following week. Perhaps this is what's going on....if not, like BBBB says, you'll find out in court. UGH
Take care & good luck, LillySmile

RE: Is the insurance company playing games?
I did speak with my attorney today and the norm is my TTD check comes into the office on Friday and they mail me a check on Monday.

As of today the check is one week late in the attorney's office. When I told my attorney about not receiving the check he paused and then said, "Well I will check into that".

If I don't receive money, he dosen't receive money.

I will keep you posted.

I would call the adjuster and see what's holding up the check. My adjuster stopped my checks a few times in the past, without good reason, but others in her office always released them after seeing there was no reason for the hold.
Just a thought.

RE: Is the insurance company playing games?
When you went to the IME did they say you can work with restrictions? When I went to my IME as soon as the report came in from the lawyer everything STOPPED. I did not have my medication paid for anymore. It said in the report that I should not be on any medication for recurring carpal tunnel and that they should not be paying for the cymbalta as I was depressed before the injury..LOL Like having a WC injury does not depress anyone????

Hopefully I am wrong and your check is just late due to the holidays. We had alot of snow storms out here in the East and alot of mail was delayed. At least you have a lawyer that can find out where your money is. I did not hire one and had to call the adjuster myself. My first adjuster was not a very nice person and now this adjuster is very good to me.

carpal tunnel recurrence/ neuropathy / RSD.
1/29/07 injury date. Permanent. PIR settlement 8/4/08 10%
