RE: Hopefully a better year.
I too would like all a better year. I personally am hoping for no surgeries this year (had 3 in 08), and that I don't get any worse. For me the best part of 2008 was when I made the move to ca. and now am near my daughter and her family.

I wish everyone a year with less pain, healing bodies and minds and continuing friendship here on our forum. We have became a family of caring, helpfull people.

Love
Vickie

RE: Hopefully a better year.
Den it is a eye opener and should be for anyone that is taking medications. It opened mine and I am on pain meds from the pain clinic. I do not know what he OD'd on but sure it had to be more than pills. Like I said, he had been in and out of prison for stealing to support his habit. So not sure if it was injecting, snorting or what yet.

When we play with medicine, we need to know that you take what is prescribed. I know there has been many times I take an extra 1 or 2 for the day because I need it. I really do not think this is what happened to him, but know it starts somewhere. I know I can become an addict very easy. That is scarey.

I really cut down on my medication after the news of my cousin. I suffered with alot of terrible arm pain last night just to cut back. It gets you by the nick when your in pain though. If I did not have pain, I would definitly not take them. Seriously!!!!! That is why I am so desperate on finding a doctor that knows what is causing my pain to get off these things.

So sorry to hear of your loss or losses also. It not only hurts the person that is gone, but the loved ones left behind.
God bless, and happy new year. ( Cheers).

Sparkey

I am so sorry about the loss of your cousin.

Sparkey you are a person of strength, sometimes we go thru "life's challenges" and
it makes us a stronger person in the end.
