RE: drs.note
Hurt- sorry the report is not good, but glad you have the attuide to except what you can not change. Know we are here if you need to talk.
Sparkey- check with a plastic reconstruction specialist. That is the only doctor that had any ideas what to do with my arm and the RSD pain. Also of all the drug that they tried the best is Effexor XR helps more, It helps with the depression and neruo pain. May God send his angels to hold you in his arms |

Been to the Mayo Clinic yet Hurt?
Both Mayo and the Cleveland Clinic program takes patients in your situation, an unfortunately not uncommon one anymore with all the spine surgeries going on, and is able to offer some "inoperable" patients a chance. Debulking the scar tissue is no different than a spinal tumor when it comes to dissecting out the nerves but is not often done since the condition is not life threatening so the consequences of a poor outcome usually outweigh. Tis is decidedly NOT the case when the patient has developed the motor loss as you have as the surgery is now in your favor in very experienced handsl Just my thoughts. Good luck. |

Hi Hurt,
I only wish i was half as strong as you are. You are correct, one has to live with the cards life had dealt you. We learn the hard way, to play the right ones, in the correct sequence. You do have medicine on your side though....as there is progress in leaps and bounds daily.....all may not be lost for any of us.....this is just another test of our patience. My prayers continue for you my friend! Lilly
Injured worker, & tired of it all! I'm too old for games!! A careless word may kindle strife, a cruel word may wreck a life, a timely word may level stress, and a loving word may heal and bless! |

Hurt
Hope I didn't offend you with my earlier post. I try and keep a positive outlook on things. I have a hearing in January to include my back injury in my claim. I was sent to the IME doctor in October by the the insurance company. The IME report recently came in and the doctor did say the back injury is related to my original wc injury but all treatment has been exhausted. My symptoms are pins & needles, burning pain in the back of my leg & to my foot. Stabbing pain, numbness in the top & sides of my foot and ankle pain. Sometimes I have difficulity walking because of the heavy weighted feeling of my leg or sometimes because my foot dosen't want to pickup when I walk. Since my injury my personal health insurance has paid for all treatment of my back, injections & physical therapy. Now wc is saying the back injury is due to my altered gait from the knee injury but all treatment has been exhasuted due to not being benefical. BULL! I can not accept all treatment has been exhausted and this is as good as it gets! I do believe this is wc attempts to place me at MMI on my back but they haven't ever sent me to see a doctor other then the doctor that did the MMI. Guess we share some common ground. |

Hurt>>>I am so sorry to here this news. You are sooooooooo upbeat, God bless you. We have no choice but to take what we're given. We fight but can only fight so much. With everything going on with your case right now it seem sas if your attorney is a real go getter and getting things done I don't feel it would hurt to ask if you could possible get an opinion from one of the two places cycler suggested. Maybe since you're paying for COBRA you could take advantage of this and really get something out of it. Just my thoughts. Best of luck always.
Capricorn God is never late. In the end it doesn't matter how many years were in your life but how much life was in your years. |
