RE: ER Trip
Aqa,Besides the 3 shoulder surgeries, plus the carpal tunnel surgery, in 2005 I was diagnosed with 4 bulging disks. I never had surgery. The bulging disks were in my neck, when I went to the er they said they though it was a pinched nerve in my lower back. This has been happening for a month or so, but it got where I was hardly able to straighten up and very difficult to walk, pain going down into my legs also.If I am not mistaken a pinched nerve was mentioned by a doctor back in 2003, it is kind of weird that now it is acting up, But this is something that comes and goes,as far as the pain and the part where I can't straighten up. I Know I need to get some further opinions. That's the plan after the holodays.I am feeling better, it still hurts but not as bad.Have a great Holiday everyone.

RE: ER Trip
Halftrak please do not over do it. The more I over do and the longer I am on my feet the nerve pain only gets worse.
I go to court Jan 15th and my attorney is asking for treatment for my back. The IME doctor the insurance company sent me to wrote in his report that my back is connected to my work injury. |

RE: ER Trip
halftrak, my husband had a motorcycle accident curving to miss a group of deer on the road back in 1983. This resulted in his 3rd, 4th, and 5th lumbar hernia's and stenosis. They wanted to do surgery in 1983 but he refused and he went through a lot of bio feedback exercises to learn to cope with the pain. The point is that it has gotton worse and now the bulges and hernias that come and go press on his sciatic nerve resulting in shooting pain down his legs. This is all new for the past couple of years ...since his neck injury at work. At the VAMC, an othopod surgeron said that his bones in that area are now older and weaker...looks like some osteoporsis has set in which is aggravating the lower back injury. Maybe you are having some aging symptoms as well... which is creating some changes in the location and style of pain you are experiencing from your original injury. Love Red

Man To Be 20 again and pain free, ain't gonna happen. right? This is something I will learn to live with and will have to slow down as bummer states. You all enjoy your holiday, merry christmas
