Sorry
Hi Everyone!

It's been awhile since I've posted but I've been reading now and again. I received a Christmas Card from Jayne the other day - Thank you Jayne. That's twice now that a little action on your part has snapped me back from a downward spiral.

I have been dealing with very deep depression this past year and even with all of the medication I just can't seem to stop this roller coaster ride. I'm in therapy but I haven't noticed that it helps a whole lot. I'm really surprised that Workman's Comp has covered the therapy like it has. The doc tells me that normally they only approve 4 sessions twice (total of 8 sessions) and the injured worker usually has to fight to get more than that. I'm on my 4th set now. I really feel for my family - they have endured so much. I guess the bright side of the coin is that they are still sticking it out.

I am scheduled to be rated January 6th. I wonder if that day will mark a new release on life for me. God I pray so.

Well on a brighter note I have a job now. The doctor released me to go back to work and restricted the heck out of me. I was really surprised to even find a job that would work with all of the restrictions. I am a data analyst for MetLife Home Mortgages. They have been really great working with me and all of my problems. I really love the hours. I work from 6 AM to 3 PM so by the time I get off it still seems like I have a lot of time left. I remember working the 8 - 5 routine and it seemed like all I ever did was work, eat and sleep.

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas.

Best of Wishes and may God Bless,
Debbie

RE: Sorry
I have missed you on the forum.

I find one of the best forms of therapy for me is talking to my family & friends, and this includes my friends on the forum.

Things are much easier to cope with when I can communicate my thoughts.

DEB>>>>>Smile It is so nice to hear from you. Sorry the depression is still with you. I find that counseling and as Bummer said talking about your feelings is the biggest help although it takes time. Wonderful news about your new job. Congratulations. What an accomplishment. So hard to find something within restrictions. I'm glad WC is not giving you a hard time about continuing counseling. Jan 6th I will pray is a positive new beginning for you.

With good thoughts and prayers always.
