RE: Rim rent tear of rotator cuff
I have also noticed that men seem to have much better luck after shoulder surgery than women. That's just in people I know persoanlly and those here. I don't know one man who hasn't regained full ROM and strenghth and I also don't know one woman who has. Just some info.

Rolleyes RE: Rim rent tear of rotator cuff
At work
I tore my L rotator cuff 3.5". The tear was in the shape of a L
making it much harder to close. I think it would have gone easier if
Sedgwick, Insurance Co, did not make me wait 8mo for MRI &
10 months for the actual surgery. The surgery went OK, but I had
an allergic reaction the pain medication in hospital. I took 1 yr to heal then surgical failure. To refix the tear they would need to put in a patch. But because I have other major health concerns and allergic to antibiotics/sulfa, the surgeon said no way, too dangerous.
So a month after that I got dropped from WC. The insurance company said if I really did need the surgery and have it done again that they would pay me more. The end dx would be death, so I declined, and no surgeon would attempt it. So here I sit, no job, no income, lots of pain. But I wish you lots & lots of luck. Bernie57

L shoulder torn 3.5" R shoulder damaged. Heart damage, carpal tunnel (L&R) cataplexy/narcolepsy, arthritis, hypoglycemic. +. Bernie
