well
well sunday was my day of getting things done.first off got the 1960 corvette one in one piece.the only bad think was the wife got alittle sad about seeing the car so after a good warm bath of about 6-8 buckets of hot water it looks good and im going to cover it so she wont have to see it for awhile.then i got thinking about keeping it the way it was and how he had it as a tribute to her dad.when i can im going to take a picture and post it.i think we will get the car in the end and i will put it back on the road so we-she can enjoy and remeber her dad in a good way.he owned this car since 1967 and i hate to see it leave as she wanted the car to stay in the family and im the only one that can put it back on the road the others have no clue on what to do.my buddy will help me alot as far as doing things i can,ie. lifting the heavy things and he has a lift at his house so we can work on it.by early spring or midsummer it should be ready for it first cruise in over 30 years if not sooner.i also sold the house sunday so thats one less thing to do,now it clean it out and be done.to date i have made these girls well just under a million and thats not bull...i feel bad in someways but good for what i have done for them and as you all know it had to be done so i stepped up and made it happen.made me cry when i got the car home yesterday just thinking about how he would of felt about what i done, dont ask me why but it upset me.so as i said its going to look like it did in his day and how he had it.thanks all hurt.

Each day is not a rite,it's a given.

RE: well
cleaning up after someones life is hard.you handle the things that ment to much to them and they take on a whole new meaning to you,,,I have 2 things here that bring on good memories of Bills folks one is a pressure cooker Bills Mom gave us when we married I use it every year while canning so she is always with me in memory every year while I can. another is a nativty scene Bill and I made his folks one year while stationed in Alaska,,,after his Dad died his Mom gave it back to us and it goes out every year here.I am lucky enough to still have my parents with me at 96 and 83....we never know what next year will bring hug your loved ones often

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

RE: well
You did a good thing by stepping up to the plate and doing what needed to be done sweetie. I hope you get to keep the car and restore it for your missus, that would be such a beautiful gift to her. I am also eagerly waiting for a pic Smile

Get some well deserved rest!
