Back to work
I went back to work the c5,c6 fusion went well. I went back to work monday and am on light duty and pt 2x week. However I am having severe pain in my right shoulder. I had this pain before surgery and doc said had to wait till after fusion to see if it was a seperate injury. The pt is working with the right shoulder and she thinks it seperate injury. I tried to do light duty at work by helping out in the office. By the time I go home every day I am in so much pain that I just want to die. I called the nurse case manager and told her and she is going to call me back with some options. People at work make me feel like I am just wanting time off. I guess I am feeling sorry for myself but my fiance is out of work and unemployement has ran out and we have been trying to make it on my w/c checks its getting to me! I dont know if I can survive mentally another surgery it is so depressing.

RE: Back to work
hang in there hopefully things will improve for you and the pain will subside.just dont listen to what others say as they are not in your shoes and have no clue what pain ur in.take it one day at a time and i wish you well.

Each day is not a rite,it's a given.

RE: Back to work
Hi,

C0-workers can be very nasty....they are simply jealous as they THINK you're on some sort of vacation since they can see no blood oozing. Tune them out, period!
You know how much pain you are in, and it's very hard to make it through the day.
Hopefully you are on some sort of pain killers, if not, call Dr and ask for some for your shoulder. Shoulder pain is relentless and knawing. Possibly some meds will make it more tolerable and enable you to stay at work...if not...ask to see Dr now! Or go to ER. Try not to give in...but sometimes one must....only you know your limits!
Take care & good luck, LillySmile

Injured worker, & tired of it all! I'm too old for games!!

A careless word may kindle strife, a cruel word may wreck a life, a timely word may level stress, and a loving word may heal and bless!
