honey needs puter help
we are trying to go wireless......my Hp took the card with no problems and doing great....Honeys acer aspire on the other hand .....he trys to install goes thru most of it shows it has a good conection but when he goes to get on internet the computer freezes and a screen shows kinda like a tire track across it ....to get computer back up unplug and uninstall wireless program....he tried the same card on mine and it worked so its not the card...the computer works fine once he uninstalls it and goes back to the wire any ideas?

jayne... I just asked Del about this. He gave me a list to give to you... but he did say it could be many different things. Here is what he said to do and in this order... if you have done it..then move to the next idea.

1. Read comp's and assure that his operating system is compatible. For instance is he running Windows 2000 and the software you are attempting to install is compatible for XP or vista.

2. Assure that all current updates are done. he said if he is running XP he should be on service pack #3 and if he is running vista he should be running service pack #2.

3. Disable all secrity software while he is down loading.

4. Install as the administrator.

These are some simple but beginning ideas. You may have done all of this in the process of what you have done. Let me know and I will ask Del again what next. Good luck..I truly dislike computer issues...I know nothing about them...love Red

heis trying BBBB everyone is saying he must take is firewalls down and then install.....
