RE: things are looking bad
cap you are correct being a stay at home dad do to my injury has made a big change in my daughters life,we are very close i think that the time i get to spend with her teaching her, playing with her made a huge change in how she acts and reacts with others.i try to teach her rite and wrong so she doesnt act like some kids.i would not change a thing other than my injury, the time we have spent together has been the highlight of my life.

Each day is not a rite,it's a given.

RE: things are looking bad
Hurt..I have always and more so in this day and age, believed that the parents are the most important teachers in a child's life. Some don't agree, have the time, etc. and when the child goes to school they don't know how to interact with other children. I have seen alot of meaness and lack of manners from children over the past few years. Worked for a large school district for 20 years so I have always been around kids and boy has there been a change. I have had such a hard time emotionally since being injured. I keep telling myself there are things I have had todo that I wouldn't have been able to had I not been injured. May sound crazy but I know I would have lost my job through my husband's illness. Would have never been able to do what I did. Try looking at it as if God thought it best that you be home raising your daughter. I know it's hard to see it that way but I don't question anything. Things happen for a reason and I believe although I don't understand most of the time God knows what's best for us. Be well my friend.

Oh Hurt how wonderful. Yes you are a proud dad and rightlfully so. We love our children and want the best for them. Part of that to me, and i can see it with my daughter now, is being a good person, not having everything there is to have in the way of material things. My kids grew up poor but to this day say they had a great upbringing because they had my love and knew it. Their father was an alcoholic so I was pretty much on my own for 25 years. I am also a proud parent. Enjoy her every moment, they grow up way too fast.
