RE: Recipe for RNvic
Thanks Tuffy....last time we had glazed carrots I only put butter and brown sugar in and a little salt. Hubby and I loved them so we're making them thursday for the family. Am going to add the rest of your ingredients. Sounds like those added spices will make them yummy.

RE: Recipe for RNvic
Mother in laws french dressing: Serves 4-5

2 Lbs hamburg.
1/2 onion
4 celery sticks
4 pieces toast ( white )
Bells seasoning ( to taste )
Salt & Pepper
2 tblsp. olive oil
Juice from turkey pan droppings ( use till dressing is moist)

In a large skillet put 2 tblsp. olive oil and diced onion/celery. Fry till tender and brown. Add 2 lbs. hamburg till cooked. Drain grease. Add 4 slices of toast crumbled on top of hamburg and veg. Add bells seasoning to taste, and salt & pepper. Add some juice from turkey pan to soften toast before mashing on top of hamburg.Use a potato masher and mash hamburg till soft and veg. are mashed in. Make sure the toast is all mashed in. You should keep mashing till dressing is smooth like mashed potato's.

My mother always did the same except used 1 lb. of hamburg, 1 lb. of pork and onion/celery and skipped the toast and added mashed potato's instead. She also used green peppers of which I never liked so I always leave it out. Of course every year we decide is it my mothers dressing this year, or his mothers? LOL. Enjoy.
