RE: Cancer Diagnosis
Thank you everyone for your support.

I have spent the day coping with the shock of the news.

Also been doing research on skin cancer, from what I have read basal cell is not the type that spreads to organs. Won't know 100% on my type till the biopsy results are back.

I believe I am looking at a January or February date for surgery. The reason I am being sent to a hospital in Missouri vs close to home is because this being a large tumor that will involve reconstructive surgery.

I do hope the surgery is scheduled after wc court which is Jan 15th.

RE: Cancer Diagnosis
Bummer,

What a bummer !! (trying to inject a little dry humor there). I am so sorry to hear about this. It seems like you get to the point where you can have one problem taken care of .. when another rears it's ugly head. I will pray that this is benign and that all goes well with the removal and reconstructive surgeries. You know that I have been praying for you all this time anyway.. and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about you and the rest of my family here on the forum.

RE: Cancer Diagnosis
Bummer... I too am sorry to hear of this. AS so as you know the results of the biospy please let us know its finding. It is most likely basal cell since that is what you doctor feels. He most likely has had a lot of history wiht seeing this type of skin cancer. I believe that basel cell is the most popular and the least likely to spread as you said. Got you in my prayers... best wishes sweetie...love Red
