Secret Santa...its time

Hi all...it is time to start thinking about the secret santa program. I will give more information tomorrow, but for now, if you are a family or individual in need for Christmas, please pm me your request and I will get back to you within the week with more secret santa program information.

If you are interested in contributing to this program this year, please send me a pm and I will get back to you. Every contribution helps a family, child in some way. As I did last year there will be complete privacy of who is in need and who is contributing. I will explain how that will work (like I did last year) tomorrow. If you are a contributor you will have a complete accounting of how your money was spent etc. Some people like to do the shopping themselves and so in these cases I will also explain how we will work it.

For all of us, lets have a great holiday season which starts next week. I am excited to get this started and will help each of you in any way possible.

Red - I'm so sorry I can't help you with this. I am backsliding again, think my meds need to be upped. Don't see doc for awhile, so will have to wait. Tried to call while you were gone, left u a message. Am trying to clean house today but not getting very far.

Hi all,

I said that I would give further directions tonight. I apologize that it is so late before I am able to keep my promise. However, in advance I want to thank all of the people who are going to donate to this worthy and helpful program and I also want to say to those who have needs during this holiday that we are all very happy to help you spend the best Christmas ever. Some people have needs for their children at Christmas and some have needs for a certificate to buy a Christmas dinner, either way I know from history that we are all here to assure that everyone has a very Merry Christmas.

I believe in privacy for each person and I try to accomplish this through a number system that I will explain below.

For all those that choose to donate:

1. Pm Red with your proposed donation and the date you expect to be sending it to me.
2. I will return your PM and give you a number for your donation. In this pm will also be my address where you can send the check.
3. As the donation comes in, I will post the donation with your number attached that only you will know is your donation.
4. As your money is spent, I will send you the story that your donation supported and the number that I attached to that need. The number will also be posted on this thread as the money is spent.

For all those that have a need for this Christmas:
1. PM Red with your Need, who it is for, age of child, possible idea of what this child would like etc. If it is for a certificate to buy a dinner, please indicate that as well.
2. I will return your PM and give you a number to attach to your need. Only you and I will know that your number is attached to you.
3. Once the donation comes in that I can attach to your need, it will be listed on the forum and I will pm you for more information.
4. After the information is received, I will purchase the need and have it delivered to your home.

Sent you a pm in regards to Secret Santa this afternoon, so you know what I want to do this year. Hope it will help someone. Of course, if there is a void that needs filled as we get closer to Christmas, let me know and I will do what I can to fill it.

I wanted to do more, but am playing secret Santa to a young girl on an RSD forum I belong to. Not only is she away from all of her family in Alaska (she's hospitalized in Pensylvania) they have just told her that she has a bone infection and it will be sometime next year before she can travel.. if at all.

We are going to do a card shower for her.. everyone is sending me cards that I will put all together in one box and send to her along with a homemade afghan that I just started and several other things that I hope will brighten her holiday for her. I just wish that I lived closer so that I could deliver it to her in person.

Angel...I live in Cherry Hill just about 15 miles from Philadelphia. We are going to philadelphia today even. Which hospital is she in and if I can help just let me know. Love Red
