Letter from the doctor/carpal tunnel
I do appreciate the suppport and advice from everyone on this forum.

I saw my primary care doctor this morning and he has written a letter to my attorney connecting the carpal tunnel in my right arm from use of the cane.

My doctor is recommending I see a ortho, he is recommending treatment of surgical intervention.

My doctor feels treatment is needed now before the condition becomes worse.

Thank you Cap

I did not expect this, this is my dominant hand and that is why the doctor wants to act now.

RE: Letter from the doctor/carpal tunnel
I spoke to my attorney this afternoon, read the letter to him connecting the carpal tunnel to wc. He said the letter is what "we" need and plans to request treatment for the carpal tunnel and back in court this week.

Thank you Still In Limbo

I've had mixed feeling on adding the carpal tunnel to the claim. My attorney says it will make a stronger case.

Isn't it sad, how one injury can manifest into several problems? Then WC doesn't want to take responsibility for it? Go for it Bummer, you certainly are not making this stuff up....it is just snowballing from the orig. injury.
Prayers going up for you! LillySmile

RE: Letter from the doctor/carpal tunnel
Thank you Lilly

I believe that is what I need to hear. I almost feel guilty about adding the back and carpal tunnel to my claim, and I am sure in court the attorney for the insurance company will play on my guilt.

My primary care physical wrote the letter linking the carpal tunnel and back to the knee injury and didn't think twice about writting the letter. His only comment was,
"They made you want almost 3 years to take care of your knee, of course there are going to be related injuries."

RE: Letter from the doctor/carpal tunnel
i had my shoulder injury which i was taking PT for...but i still was working one armed, I had a slip fall (thinner spilled on floor) and lit with my leg twisted, bend in half backwards. I tore up the meniscus. Three days prior to meniscus surgery, I got out of the car in Kroger lot and my knee gave out, and i rolled my foot soooooo hard! OMG it hurt terrible....ended up at MD who sent me for exrays and I had broken several tiny bones in the top of my foot...and they wanted to cast it! Same leg I was due for surgery on. I talked em out of the cast, as I knew my ortho wouldn't do surgery because of swelling possibility....so i did nothing....i was then on crutches after the knee surgery....so YES, you are not imagining it....one injury leads to another.....there are several of us on here who can attest to that!
Loose the guilt trip Bummer....it is out of your control!

Bummer, don't let that Bother You, if Your Attorney feels it's Needed to be Added, and it will Strengthen Your Case, They seem like a Very Good Attorney with Your Best Interest at Heart! You are going to have to Live with the Pain, and Possible Surgery to Correct what Came from them taking too Long in the Beginning with Your Knee, they Deserve to have to Pay for it!! Trust Me, if they could Take Away Your Benefits Tomorrow, they wouldn't Feel One Bit Guilty doing so!!Wink
