Workers comp and children
I can't believe that w.c. can starve somebody enough that is effects their family the way it does. Where is their humanity? If somebody gets hurt on the job it doesn't mean that they will take care of you until you heal up, or if you become disabled they will do everything in their power to starve you and your family out. This has a lasting effect on children, whats the old saying you are only young once. It is hard to plan a disability. I don't know how w.c. expects people in this economy to live on 400 dollars a month and support a family. Most people treat animals more humanely than w.c. treat the injured worker.

RE: Workers comp and children
There are many who are in similar circumstance and don't even have workers comp. Injury, sickness, misfortune, can be so close to taking what we have.
When times are good it's difficult to see that they can get worse and prepare. I suspect many will lose their jobs as the economy slows. when they get hurt, who or what will help them? How many are preparing now for that possibility? Things can get worse -- are each of us preparing? |

You need to share your story with your state legislators. They are the ones that introduce, and vote on the bills that effect injured workers. If you go to your state's web site you will find who your state representative and senator are for your area. |

Im asuming your talking about yourself or some one you know. I am sorry to hear that children have to deal with it too. And I agree just not enough to keep paying the bills along with trying to feed the kids. But as 1171 said times are probably going to get worse for everyone. I hope for the best for you. |
