RE: IME vs surgeon's recomendation
BK....when my shoulder was bad....my surgeon sent me for PT PRIOR to surgery, as he said the joint would benefit by healing better if it was in shape and fit when he did the surgery. It increases blood flow to the area.
Too bad he screwed up the surgery, and I had to wait 9 months before being allowed the surgery. Lilly
Injured worker, & tired of it all! I'm too old for games!! A careless word may kindle strife, a cruel word may wreck a life, a timely word may level stress, and a loving word may heal and bless! |

stiffnecked Wrote:IC's will pick who they want. These exams should not be called IME's. There is nothing independent about them. They are more appropriately called EME's. That the Employers Medical Exam. If you state workers comp board sends you to an exam with a doctor of their choosing then that would be considered an IME. LOL boy aint that the truth |

RE: IME vs surgeon's recomendation
Stiffneck- I went for PT for 5 months before the surgery on my shoulder. It didn't help just caused more damage. I had a torn roator cuff, cracked collar bone and partical dislocation. The surgeron did more damage to the arm and it is not repairable now. It has been five years and continues to hurt and continued to have no strenght.
May God send his angels to hold you in his arms |
