If anyone likes to make rolls etc from scratch , Here is a old recipe and I do mean old. but the best I have ever had, and really easy

6 1/2 cups flour
Heat milk to boiling, remove from fire add sugar, salt, and butter.
Cool to lukewarm add 2 yeast cakes disolved in 1/4 cup water lukewarm, add 2 eggs beaten and flour, mix together and kneed. can be placed in the frig for 5 days, kneed daily, can be used for cinnamon rolls or regular dinner rolls.
shape into dinner rolls, grease bottom of pan, let raise covered with towel and bake. 350 untill golden brown.
Place extra dough in frig covered for up to 5 days, use as needed.

RE: " Holiday Recipies"
Keep the receipe coming. I will then put them in a book and send them to who ever wants them.

Think of this as a way for us all to share the holidays with each other.

Admin- how about your favorite receipe??

Tinker, That is such a great idea, but we need you well before taking on a big project. Also I think you should be able to recoup with a small charge for a recipe book.....

RE: " Holiday Recipies"
Speaking of chocolate cake there is an old government recipe made with Saurkraut. I don't like cholcolate but this was the moistest best tasting choc cake I've ever had. Anywhere that governement subsidies are used should have the old recipe. Red , Hubby and I both cook like you. No recipes.

God is never late.
