Since I am the first one who thought the "humorous picture" in question was racist let me begin by saying I still feel it is. Not that the poster is and that I have never said. I believe the artist is. As Tuffy said way back on page 1 of this thread,there would be no humor with John Mc Cain a white man and would not make any sence. I have lived near and worked with all races for most of my life. I don't know a black person who would not have taken offense to that "humor" Just as in Chris Chris's post when you listen to what is said by the couple of folks being interviewed it is most obvious that they are uneducated and don't even know who is running with whom, which is not the majority of the country. That being said I really don't know why some feel the need to defend themselves in saying that they aren't racist. No one here has called anyone here a racist. Only some OPINIONS are that the picture is, hence not being able to voice an opinion without being jumped all over UNLESS you are a McCain/Palin fan. I had no idea who I would vote for until the last couple of days. The Colin Powell/Tom Brokaw interview last night on MSNBC really clinched the deal for me. I have chosen Barack Obama for several reasons. I have disqualified John Mc Cain for several. They are issues that are important to me. Quietdude as you say in Co and OK there are no Obama signs. Have you had the pleasure of listening to what people in the city of Philadelphia thought of Palin at the Flyers/Rangers game? You speak of two areas. This is a large country and I pray the right man wins who can care for us all not just CO and OK.different areas/different needs. I do agree with every other person here who has picked Obama as their candidate that it was very uncomfortable to say the least to discuss anything with the comebacks. I have never felt any respect here for my opinion.

I feel being told I am not a Christian IF I vote for Obama is a disgrace and no human beings place. It is the Lord's position to damn me not a memeber of this forum. I also am thrilled to have a "Nanny government rebuid a city when something as devastating as Katrina destroys all. Should those folks have just died without the "nanny" governments aid????? John Mc Cain owns a certain part of the country. That's a fact. Another fact is that he has PTSD. So do I. That fact and the fact that his beloved wife has said that anyone who gets PTSD gave it to themselves????? God forbid anyone here who has a child oversees come back and years down the road suffers rom PTSD , Lord I pray this never happens. Would that be the same as blaming a candidate for not making things right or would it be the child's fault as the possible first lady says? I thank all those who opened the door for freedom here on this forum. I am happy with my decision and do not under any circumstances feel the need to shove it down someone else's throat.

Jayne. I do not like Sarah Palin for many reasons. Not one has to do with her being a female as you mentioned a few times. your thought is that you were surprised that so many women didn't like her. But more women than nor liked Hillary Clinton. It is the person, who she is, what she represents, how she carries herself, her professionalism, not the fact that she is a female.

What I have posted today are all JMO. I do not need justified, answered, lashed out at and will not turn my mind around. May the best man win, may we all vote with an open mind and keep the entire country in mind and not just one area or one issue. God bless all.



I have chosen Obama with Health insurance being at the top of the list. I had three children without it. I paid and paid until I paid all Dr.s and hospitals in full. I worked when my children were all in school until I had blisters and then more blisters to aquire health insurance. I stayed at it for 20 years until I injured 5 body parts permanently. I will lose it in 48 hours as I sign my settlement papers. I know there are alot of IW whose claims have been denied and have gotten no treatment for a long time because they were without personal health insurance or who weren't as lucky as I to have kept it until I settled. What does John Mc Cain offer them. You see even though I live in a large city, don't grow or can my own foods I do still eat when times are bad and do still take care of mine and others in need. You don't have to be from Oklahoma to do that and no I don't need the government to tell me to do it. It's the way I was raised and who I am. A good Christian woman.

mmmmmmm I quess I ticked a few off...It is proven over and over a neighbor can help neighbor far easier and cheaper than any goverment..my 20 dollars to my neighbor will get him 20 dollars the goverment will take that 20 and by the time everyone puts their finger in the pie my neighbor might get 1/4 of a cent that is nanny goverment.Not one of my neighbors will starve if I can cut the meat a bit thinner or water the gravy...But I earned my money and I feel I should have the right to give it to whom I choose not someone in washington tell me who to give it to..I cant seem to get across that I am a person who believes in ME helping neighbor because I want to not because I am forced to......Neither Obama or McCain has promised FREE health care you will pay for it or I will pay for it but it wont be free...Obama will cost many small business their very existence maybe even to include the owners of this board.....We are all family even if we dont agree on who to vote for my only hope is that who ever wins puts america first

In the past years, big businesses got tax brakes, where the small businesses got higher taxes. I know many small business onwers. If I had to weight it out over businesses, small businesses would win as they are more of a percent than large businesses that take much of their product overseas then brought back here to be sold at a higher price.

It's also been said, tax brakes would be awarded for new hired on workers.

Healthcare, come on, these companies know what's going on, and simply rasied the cost ahead of the election. I just got a 13 1/2% increase last week.

But, as I had said before, we will never know how the person that lost the race for President would have done in Office, will we. Being so, we can't condem either then. But, if one person's vote looses, and another wins, we still need to support them. Or we can move to Mexico, with the other American Businesses that are there.

Jayne...I'll be 55 my next birthday. I know how it works and the difference between my $20 and the governments. I have never said Obama was giving anyone health insurance for free. I will end this here because there just isn't any point.

I dont mean to hurt anyone....I have made my thoughts known just as you have....I do not like Obamas record on voting in the senate he has not come thru on anything he promised his state so why should I trust him to do for America.....My christianity is my life it is what I live for it is the reason I am still alive today...The control you speak of is abortion....I see no reason for it but some may that is between them and their God....I tend to see black and white no grey so to me 2 wrongs dont make a right.....To me abortion is murder period
I do not mean to talk down or insult anyone I am however passionate about what I believe.....All you have said is you like Obamas insurance program but you have said nothing about where poor people will get the extra money to pay for it.....
We simply must start taking care of ourselves and our neighbor and if everyone did just that we wouldnt need the goverment telling us to do it.....This is what I dont understand why do we as americans NEED a president to MAKE us be responsiable for our selves...
As far as giving to major disasters that is just a given...but look into where your dollar goes Red cross vs Salvation army ....overhead and such.....this is the difference between goverment and non goverment....We must watch where our dollars go ...the goverment has way to much control now...we as americans cannot give it more or we will be a socialist country just russia. Then you may have insurance but not find a Doctor appt for months.....No body can afford to get tens of thousands of dollars in school loans and not be able to make enough money to pay them.We are short Doctors now, in fact many Doctors from other socialist countrys practice here so they can make enough money to pay back their school loans......
I am happy Cap if you are happy with your pick....That is what it is all about I am not calling you or anyone stupid that dont agree with me cuz many dont....But I am passionate about America and anything to do with her.....And if that bothers some I cant help that.....

Jayne I think your passion is wonderful. I used health isurance because it was safe, I thought. I wouldn't for all the money in the world even suggest any defense or miltiary conversation with you. I am glad you are so passionate about your beliefs, I am too. I was hoping for discussion here from day one and have gotten nothing but insults and finger pointing. You're not alone. Please don't ever tell me I am not a Christian because of my voting choice. Again I will say it is not your place or your right, only God has that place with me. Just because the man believes all women should have the right to do with their bodies as they see fit does not make him anti-Christ either. He is half black and half white. I 'm not sure what you meant by "he's not black". You seem to want to seperate God and Country when it suits you but not all the time. I was looking for some good talks and some helpful opinions but it didn't pan out that way. I live in a totally different area of the country and can see that we will never be able to agree to disagree without me being told "how I think" or how I am because it's different from the R , I guess R stands for right way.

Tuffy, I'm with You 100%!! Cap., Your Opinion means a lot to Me, and so does Jayne's and the Others on the Board!!! I think the Most Important thing We ALL need to do is, Stop jabbing at Each Other, Agree to Disagree, and Be Damned Sure We Cast Our Votes!!! When All is Said and Done We will have a New President, some of Us will have seen Our Vote bring in the New President, and Some will have a Candidate that Lost. But when it's ALL OVER I Hope We will All Still be Here Helping Each Other, and Our Friendships Remain in Tact!! "That's My Story and I'm Stickin' to It!!!":)
