RE: Try to work or continue fighting for SSI?
Monster, I don't know if the Facet Injections would help your Headache, but do please ask about trigger point injections right away. I know they would or might help quicker.

RE: Try to work or continue fighting for SSI?
Thanks to you all for your great advice!
Tweety - They have now said that the syrinx is gone as well as the tumor on my lumbar? vertebrae. Not quite sure how all these things just disappear but supposedly they have. Oh yeah, my fatty liver has also dissapeared as well as the thickening colon walls. However they did find a 7mm cyst on the upper left lobe of my kidney. I'm sure that will be gone soon as well since mmy body seems to rejuvenate itself so well, LMAO! As for working I really don't think there's anyway I can. Between the pain and the anger/sadness/blah, blah, blah I really don't think I could keep a job. The facet block is being done specifically for the headaches. This one will be placed on the left side as my headaches are ALWAYS on the left side of my head. He also wants authorization for a right sided block as when I saw him last I couldn't hardly move my head or right arm. My SSi case may be totally screwed up if the original attorney didn't file ofr a hearing. He only had 60 days after the last appeal and I haven't heard anything. My WC atty is now my SSI atty and my buddy in the office is doing her best to find out what is going on. I also just founf out that WC in Cali will only pay 2 years TTD. I was on state disability for 1 year which the WC was ordered to pay back by the judge so I am assuming that's 1 year I will be out of. Then WC paid me from Feb 05 - I think the end of Oct. 05 so that's another 8 months. It looks like at most they would only have to pay me for 4 months but that sure would help a whole lot right now. If I can make it to Feb. I might be okay yet I'll just have to see. I'm trying not to get my hope up. Sorry this was so long now I'm really tired, will try to be back later. Monster-I am glad to hear that the tumor on the spine and the spot on your liver is gone, God does work wonders if we let him. Will continue to pray for the cyst to disapear as well and your head ache to go away. God will provide when we turn our troubles over and let him handle them.
Love Tinkerbell May God send his angels to hold you in his arms |

RE: Try to work or continue fighting for SSI?
Monster,
I'm sorry but my memory isn't very good anymore. Did you have an MRI of the cervical spine, and if so, did you have any herniations or nerve impingements?? The reason I'm asking is that I was having daily headaches on the left side from front to back and my left arm ached always since the car accident. I had the 2 level cervical fusion and have'nt had but a few minor headaches since that surgery in May. I never had any facet injections, just trigger point and ESI's in the lower back, SI joint and hip. I hope whatever they do will help with your pain levels. Love Vickie |

Hi my Blue Monster friend. I am sooo sorry to hear that things aren't good. Please know you're in my thoughts and prayers. I wish there was something I could do to ease your pain..physically and emotionally. If there's ANYTHING I can do, please let me know....I love you lady.
Always love your cubs unconditionally...they are a gift from God and someday they'll pick your nursing home!! |
