RE: My Son
Thank you Tweety for your kind offer, If you are up to doing this that would be great, and I would pay any postage involved.
I do live in a small community and will get the name of the fierfighter and write him a letter letting him know of the positive impact he has made on my son. |

RE: My Son
Any fireman would be excited to hear about it .... Ask if the truck could be brought back and I bet your son will get a ride also ...
Ive even had the kids put on my gear and see the smiles and bright eyes also .. Sure not a problem as Our dept will be putting on a halloween safety night and I am in charge of supplies .. |

RE: My Son
Sometimes it takes things like that to bring out what a child is really interested in. It is something your son must have enjoyed very much to make him talk so much like that. I think it is great when they have people go to the schools and show these kids how much firemen, police, nurses, all do things in this world that is very special.
I know I posted awhile back why my name was sparkey. I for one have always loved anything that has to do with firemen. I collect things like old fire hats, windchimes of firemen, stickers, patches and also had the firemen calanders that a girl online got signed for me of the NYC fire dept. I have two calanders autographed. Even the calander of the firefighters that were killed on 9-11. Someone always blamed me for pulling the fire alarms at the hospital to get the firemen to come .lol. That is how I got the name " Sparkey". I am sooo happy to hear your son had a great day at school. It is something he will always remember. It would also be a great idea on a weekend to go down to the fire house and let him see the trucks. In my town we can go there any day and walk into the garage to see them. They are absolutly Beautiful!!!! carpal tunnel recurrence/ neuropathy / RSD. 1/29/07 injury date. Permanent. PIR settlement 8/4/08 10% |

RE: My Son
Oh BK...what a fabulous surprise for you to hear that entire sentence come out of your son's mouth! It sounds like a fireman is quite interesting and has made a great impression in your son's mind......this may be a clue as to how to get through to him when he has a tough time or episode (no offence intended...in case he has them on occasion, like my nephew does). A cool firetruck w/ ladders and such, may be the best gift you can give him.
My autistic nephew loves making his Magic concoctions in the kitchen w/ grandma's supervision...flour, water, coffee grounds, sugar, water, salt , etc..... then uses his mixture to make things happen , heal someone, or feed to imaginary monsters! He then store the left-overs in a jar in the fridge. If he's naughty, grandma annoints his forehead with a touch of his magic mix...to bring the "good boy back" ! He loves this! and it works! He is a busy child, growing like a weed, and is super smart w/ numbers (he can do big math things in his head!) and a computer whiz, with quite the sense of humor! You must be a very special person to have God allow you such a special child BK! Keep the sentences coming young man!!!! xoxoxoxo Lilly
Injured worker, & tired of it all! I'm too old for games!! A careless word may kindle strife, a cruel word may wreck a life, a timely word may level stress, and a loving word may heal and bless! |
