RSD rateing

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone new how RSD was rated. I'm in Maine and cant find any info about it. I do know they usualy use the 4th addition. Personaly I would think not knowing what will come of rsd in the patient that it would be unfair to rate....just my opinion.
It was confirmed that I have RSD due to surgery I'm nervouse about this of course and from reading posts and asking questions understand it falls on origanal injury at fault. Thanks for any help or info on RSD.

the AMA breaks impairment down into areas/systems of the body not by diagnosis or ICD-9 designation.
so if the impairment is in the foot or ankle the rating would use the lower extremety section.
Before an impairment rating is done there would have to be a finding that the patient had reached Maximum Medical Improvement.

I do have a w/c lawyer and heard he is good. I was doing some reading and made me scared RSD could be life long and awfull. It sucks because I dont think any amount of money makes up for that.
