RE: Settlement Question..
If there was a decision, did it award unreasonable contest attorney’s fees? If so, your attorney will be receiving a fee for his time directly from the carrier in addition to the money they pay you.

RE: Settlement Question..
Well, I don't know. I just know that he hasnt taken anything from my normal compensation checks and did not take anything from what they owed me due to the child labor law violation. So I'm just curious as to.. if he didnt take anything, will he? Is he allowed to? What do you think he has in mind by taking my case..

Nobody works for free. We could speculate all day, but if you really want to know, give him a call.

RE: Settlement Question..
Does anyone know much about WC in California regarding settlements? I have carpal tunnel on both hands. Had surgery on one, when that heals, then surgery on the other. I also had tendonitis. That has been taken care of with physical therapy. I do have an attorney who told me that there will be a settlement, but not to expect much. Apparently our Govenor has allowed insurance companies to make up their own rules. Therefore, no more large settlements. I have been laid off my job due to being on WC alot longer than anticipated. I know of a friend in Oklahoma, had carpal tunnel in both hands, chose not to return to her job, and was awarded $50,000.00.
