Thanks for worrying about me..but there was no need. I have just been busier than a one legged man in a butt kicking contest and haven't really had the time to post lately. I've spent most of the past month running back and forth between work comp hearings and Dr's and not getting much accomplished, and I still am not done with hearings nor Dr's appointments.

I had a BRC back on the 4th and who ever set it up screwed up royally and had the adjudicator in in Midland, me here in Wichita Falls, my attorney in Dallas and the hospitals attorney in Austin. And then only 2 phone lines that could be used for a conference call. I sat for 35 minutes waiting to find out what was going on only to be told the hearing was over and to call my attorney. It took 2 days to get ahold of her and she told me our next step would be a contested claim hearing the end of October. But 2 weeks later, I received notice of another BRC to be held the 30th of this month. We can't hold a CCH until 60 days after a BRC so that won't happen till the end of November now. Then the judge has 10 days to issue his ruling. If it is in my favor, the IC adjustor has 20 days to issue a check for all back pay due me. Which means I won't see any money till after the first of the new year. Not only does my attorney get 25% of my back pay, she is wanting me to send her all of the mileage I have/will do in the future so that she can send it to the IC adjustor so she can collect 25% of it as well. That isn't going to happen unless it is over my dead body unless she wants to start coming here from Dallas and driving me to every appointment I have in Ft. Worth. And I have been out of work since the 26th of August and my work comp Dr just extended it out to the 29th of October.

I no longer work for Avis, as they closed the office here in WF down and moved us all to Budget trucks the first week I was out of work. It took the local HR 3 weeks and sending my case to the corporate HR in New Jersey to decide to put me on a leave of absence (I'm not eligible for FMLA) and make me eligible for short term disability. But the company that handles STD can't get their act together. I have had 3 claim managers since the 1st of September, and they lost the first lein I faxed to them allowing them to take part of my work comp back when I finally get paid through them. So my case sat on someone's desk for 23 days with nothing being done on it till I called to find out what was happening with it. I had to refax the lein..which they confirmed getting. They supposedly called my WC Dr and got info from him over a week ago..but neither he nor his nurse got anything from them. So now I am in another sit and wait position again.. with no money coming in. And no idea whether I have a job any more or insurance benefits for my other health problems.

I have also seen my neuro who verified that I do have RSD and that it has spread and put me on new meds.. Keppra 500mgs x2 a day, folnate plus (mix of b12 and folic acid) and continue taking the topamax 50mg 2@bedtime. The next week I saw my pain management Dr who upped my kadian to 50 mgs x2 a day and scheduled me for another lumbar sympathetic block the following Monday (the 22nd) I actually stayed fully conscious during this LSB and felt every bit of it. But because the RSD had spread, it actually has worked..at least for the time being. I have hurt quite a bit where they actually did the block.. and it is now starting to wear off and I am starting to feel some pain coming back into my foot and knee. But it has been wonderful not living with the pain 24/7 this week. I am going to call my PM Dr on Monday and see if he wants to set me up for another block to see if it will last longer.

Anyway, that is why I haven't been on lately. That and I am having to type one handed now so it takes a little bit of time for me to do anything on the computer. But that doesn't mean I haven't been thinking about y'all nor keeping y'all in my prayers I will try to do better in the future so that y'all won't have to worry about me again.

Angel, you're in my prayers girl. Hope things get better for you. Just need you to pop in and say hi every now and then so we know you're okay. I know the updates are hard for you so don't worry, just a hi is good if that's all you're up to.

You are all over the place where my family is. Uncle in WF and dad in Odessa right next door to Midland. I would take all your pain if I could just live where you do so I could be near my family. I miss them all so much.
