Question WI - reimburstment help
I have read alot of post on here and have found them very helpfull. I think everyone on here is doing awsome to help the injured worker, " all of us". I have finally recieved some reimburstment for mileage, took since jan. With the help here I was able to get the knowlege to put a scare in them. Thanks every one. Anyways my question is I recently hear that some cases pay for lodging. I was hospitalized from nov thru jan. Since I was 200 + miles away from home my wife and son stayed at motel and saved reciepts. I haved looked in to my states "wi" info and im lost. Any help here. PLEASE

RE: WI - reimburstment help
I would doubt that your employer/carrier would pay for family members lodging or other expenses unless it was medically necessary that they be near the hospital. Get your physician to write a report outlining why your condition required them to be close to the hospital and have it sent to the carrier with your reimbursement expense request.
Generally only statutory death and dependency benefits would be paid to non-employees.

RE: WI - reimburstment help
Thanks 1171.
Since I was in a coma, my wife was the decision maker for quite some time. She had never left my side, god bless her heart. But I will sure look into this and ask the physician,s.

Thanks again Mike
