In California
My employer has hundreds of employees next month I will be permanent and stationary status. My Doctor released me for modified duty but work said its to slow for work so will I continue to recieve Workman Comp $881 a week or will I go to SSDI @ $230 a week? I seen my employers Doctor Sept 17th he said my knee is unstable I had a total dislocation of my knee and destroyed three tendons, had my ACL repaired Feb 14th,2008. The injury happend Oct 11th,2007 and the Doctor said I will be permanent and stationary one year from original injury date Oct 11th,2007. I just want to prepare myself and quit stressing over not knowing how much income I will be recieving in the months ahead. Im thinking because Im still modified duty that my Workman Comp has to continue @ $881 a week. Any and all replies will be greatly appreciated. And still clean and sober 13 plus years with great thanks to you all!

RE: In California
I don't know anything about your federal SSDI application and benefit level.
Glad you applied and got it so quickly - many have gotten repeated denials and had long waits.
work comp temporary disability payments will continue until the carrier is notified you are P&S (see previous post).
congratulations on C&S - tough times like these are when being strong pays off.

RE: In California
If you are released for modified duty and your employer does not bring you back you continue TTD until either the employer provides work or you are found P&S. Once you are found to be P&S you should begin receiving PPD advance payments. Just a warning these are much lower than what you currently receive in TTD. The length of time you receive these is dependant upon your final rating.

I would question how the doctor can say you will be P&S after 1 year. The determination would need to be made at the time. There is no specific time frame that says you will be P&S. There is a 104 week cap on TTD however.
