I reported the PT facility

RE: I reported the PT facility
I had wrote on another thread about my experiences with physical therapy and how I was treated by the physical therapist.

A registered nurse that worked for the same hospital where I had physical therapy also had physical therapy at the same time I did.

What I did not realize was this registered nurse had been observing the way the therapist treated me during my pt sessions, yelling at me, getting mad when she wasn't happy with the ROM numbers, and the way the therapist talked to me.

This registered nurse took her complaints to administration and reported how I was being treated by the physical therapist.

This therapist still works for the hospital.

RE: I reported the PT facility
Cap, I'm so glad you reported the PT place. I can only wish, I'd have done the same...i should have, as I look back now!
If you remember, I too had a PT gal that would reduce me to tears as I kicked and squirmed....while she forcibly MADE my arm move and gain ROM....even though I was unable to do it on my own. No mention was EVER made in her progress notes of my reactions....the only word she used to describe my pain reactions was "Wincing!"
You go girl ! xoxoxo LillySmile

Injured worker, & tired of it all! I'm too old for games!!

A careless word may kindle strife, a cruel word may wreck a life, a timely word may level stress, and a loving word may heal and bless!

RE: I reported the PT facility
Bummer...I understand totally what you're saying and did not take it wrong. Smile Has anything ever come of this nurse reporting the facility??? I have had no dizziness with the neurontin but do sleep alot better at night. I guess for someone who hasn't slept well in a long time Neurontin causing some fatigure is a good thing for me. It has actually perked my mood up if that's at all possible. I am noticing a difference in the body parts that have the damage especially my big toe. Pain isn't gone but feels different and isn't as bad/ I am only on 300 mg. a day.

Lilly.....This wasn't even the facility who tore my arm up. I was traumatized there and I guess have tried to block my mind to it.Sad
This facility has one of the only aquatic programs in my area. I guess age and the fact that I have injured my back 3 times made the spine specialist originally decide the pool would be best. He also kept in mind that not being work related but I also have arthritic feet, hands, and unstable knees so it certainly worked better. I know something went on there. I have no doubt that the two PT's changed the schedule. The one who released me is a B^%&*(. I 've never had a problem with her but all of the PT's talk about being afraid of her, especially the aquatic therapist. So I hope if anything I can have her cut back to size. She thinks she's God in the PT department. UGH!

Limbo and Sparkey...thank you both for the support. I 'm going to see this through for my sake and all that follow me. It's wrong.

Cap

I do not know if anything has come of the RN's report to administration.

My main contact at the hospital was from my friend, the injured RN and she was fired from her job last week because she could no longer do her job. (The information about her being terminated is on another thread)
