Punk said hello

Punk called this am and we talked for over 2 hours, (long winded women) Were all of your ears ringing?, We talked about BB, Red, Admin, RNvic, Bummer, Tweety,Sweet, Vickinat, Born , Pooh Still, Monster, jayne and Cap. I can't remember if I have left anyone out and if so I am sorry. She said to say hello to everyone, and is looking forward to meeting as many in Florida in May. She is flying in to Illinois and then to Florida with me.
She said she has a nursing job at a long term facility 6am to 6pm, better on her back, and they are willing to go with her restrictions. So far so good but is still having pain and expects always will. She will be on one of these days and say hi to you all and update.

Jayne, Thank god for Family, Her Dad steped in and saved the day......God Bless Him. Things are getting back to normal for her.

HI Tuffy...tell Punk I said hi...it is so good to hear from them when they have left the forun for a while. The job sounds good. Is she working as a supervisor or medication nurse. I would the think pushing a cart would be way to strenuous on her so she must be a supervisor. Thanks for sharing. Love Red

You guessed it Red, She is pushing the cart. but said it is not to bad as all she has are 21 or so pts, and only HS and AM Meds, and then can sit and chart. also is allowed to take some pain meds. Down is she has an hour drive each way, but on the upside 12 hr shifts 3 days a week. Said she would love days but it would be to hard at this time , so will see what time brings.

BB you better start making plans for Florida , or you will have to answer to Punk, She said she will getcha. she wants to go deep sea fishing, and me to.

Tuffy.... punk is working a night shift eh? That is such a hard shift in its own right. Days is usually more active but nights can have a few incidents and then wow.the running begins. I use to work nights my first 3 years in the Navy. I worked 12 hour nights also from 7 pm to 7 am. I got all the post op surgeries, so I stayed rather busy. It was a floor with 31 beds all on an open bay and I worked it with 6-7 corpsman. I was in charge so I didn't pass medications or anything. The number one thing the night kept me busy with was EKG's monitoring, cath inputs if not you know what after surgery, and PCA pumps. I ususally gave the women their baths in the morning because most were too modest for the 18 and 19 year old corpsmen. I understood that so scheduled my night that way. Great memories for me I guess.
