settlement check
hi everyone can anyone tell me now that all my contracts have been approved by the arbitrator,and my lawyer has requested a check to be released from insurance comp. how long does it take for them to send a check to my lawyer? thanks..

every state is different but I believe 30 days is the norm
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone.You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life,you have come out ahead of the game.....

I am not from IL but Bad Boy and Tuffy are ,either or both will be along and answer you but most keep that money in their account as long as they can so they collect interest on it

Happy Go Lucky,
I bet you are feeling that way now!How long since your Injury? I would guess like the others about a month.I received mine in 2-3 weeks after I signed off on it but everybodys different.Its a good feeling when everything is over isnt it? Hi and congrats on your settlement, feels good I know. Yes I am in Illinois, and it took me 8 weeks to receive my check, It was hand delivered to my attorneys office the last day. They IC likes to wait untill the last day, as they are collecting interest on that money, and hate to let go of it. Good luck and look for your check anywhere from settlement to 8 weeks. anything past that time and you can go after them for being late......

About 30 days after full process so it can be like Tuffy said, a few weeks to 8 weeks. Depends on how long processing takes to get done.

Your attorney has no say as to when the IC issues the settlement check. It is all up to the IC and the time frame, From the time the arbitrator ok's the settlement and up to 8 weeks.........
