I just received notice for appt ss made for me at a Psychiatrist
My injury is arm neck and shoulder.
I have never gone to a psychiatrist before so I curious.
Oh well what ever they want, my witness ( or person I said knew me the best and how this has affected me ) got a letter to be there also.

i was sent also to a psychiatrist it was two days befor my fusion and he ask me why are you here ?but it was him that helped my case in the end i found that out

I applied for ssdi on my own in July 07 and was denied.
I have an attorney for my w/c claim who is also an ssi atty. They are trying to get me pension from w/c and maybe that's why they are not interested taking my ssdi claim? I asked them if they are going to appeal for me or not and was told to appeal on my own.

Since reading this post, I am kind of wondering if I have the right attorney? I heard, ssdi is being denied the first and second time a lot and when appealing the third time to court, than we need attorney? Is it correct? I hand delivered all my medical records to ssi office. They sent me for a mental evaluation (depression) and got a favorable report on this, but I guess my physical impairment(carpal tunnel, trigger fingers) are not serious enough?

You can appeal on your own. If memory serves me you have 60 days to file the appeal after the denial.

most WC lawyers want you to wait till all WC is over before going for SSDI because of medical set asides.....if you truly do not believe you can work again then by all means re apply...
