More IME questions
Hi everyone, I hope all of you, are as pain free as possible today!
All this talk/posting about IME's every 6 months to a year, has me wondering. I'm in Michigan, and just to jog your memory, I have a permenant dominant arm shoulder injury, that occurred in 2005 which required 3 surgeries. I 've been off work since 2006 collecting TTD/PPD. I have never been sent for an IME or had a rating that I know of. The closest & only IME experience I ever had, was with a hand doctor IC sent me to, who aggreed I needed the initial surgery on two different body parts. The knee turned out ok....the shoulder did not. IC began Settlement talks last summer. Voc rehab is done. I'm now waiting for medicare set aside. My lawyer is handling this. I guess I'm simply wondering what am I to expect? Will I eventually be sent for IME or an IR ? What happens next? Love to all, Lilly

RE: More IME questions
Lilly, if they are performing the Medicare Set-Asde now, I would think you are with-in a couple of months of a settlement then. As I too am going through the same thing now as we speak. You may not need a rating in your State as I don't need one in my State of Illinois neither.
I see you have an Attorney, and now is the time to talk about your case and all questions you have to be asked and get answers. Reply's are intended solely for informational purposes. They are based on personal opinions, experience, or research and are "not to be taken as fact or legal advice", otherwise, always consult an attorney or a doctor. |
