RE: employer ic question
employers are required to post information about their work comp carrier in a prominent place accessible to all employees.
past coverage information can probably be obtained from an Information & Assistance officer

my employer never posted wc ic information until I filed a claim . Now the ic is telling me that my employers coverage began in 02-2008.My claim is dated back 03-2007 . The ic is telling me that I might have to get coverage through the ic they had in 2007 .
My injury is not getting any better . Can I see my own doctor until they figure this out ? and will I be reimbursed ?

RE: employer ic question
I work as a admin for a construction co.I am the person who has to make sure that every year we update our state wage/ wc law poster on the wall so that it is visable to all employees. There is a fine if it is not posted or updated. I am surprised that there was never one hung in the breakroom, hallway or whatever area there is that it is visable for all employees to see. There is a fine for this if they do not comply.

carpal tunnel recurrence/ neuropathy / RSD.
1/29/07 injury date. Permanent. PIR settlement 8/4/08 10%

There was a WC poster...but no insurance information on it . When I asked my supervisor for a DWC1 form , she didn't know what it was .She said she would have to get back to me with that information . The next day I asked her again for one and she said she didn't have any .
Should I try to find out what insurance they had back in 2007 ? or should I leave it up to my adjuster ?

RE: employer ic question
as i stated in prior posts and is contained in the guidebook: while they are investigating the claim you get $10,000 in medical coverage.
go to you own treating doctor and they will authorize
see the guidebook pg 26 & 27.
http://www.dir.ca.gov/CHSWC/Reports/Work...-3rdEd.pdf
the employer is required to report any claim to the carrier who had the coverage on the date of the injury.
