Cycler Wrote:What would you want another opinion on ? You will be compensated regarding the DVT and Filter in your settlement, no question. What was your atty referring to when he said you are screwed ?

My atty said they dont consider my dvt in settlement. But he says any future problems caused by the dvt's wc has to pay for. I am confusd on this, how can they put a % rating on my clots when, and I hope it dont happen. I could die today or next year or maybe never from the clots passing through the filter. My main concern is my wife and my son, without my income they wont survive with our debt. They have been keeping up pretty good with my weekly check, but the games are starting. Sorry i started to vent. Thanks

THre is a specific imapirment rating for the DVT in the AMA GUIDES FOr the Determination of Permanent Impairment. Assuming your state requires it's use as most do, Your atty is wrong and maybe that second opinion isn't a bad idea.

Here is some interestsing reading on the matter while you wait for a better answer form your atty.
