tweety~
Everything you type on most any forum is tracked and recorded for the planet to see.  http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rls=G...m+tweety00
Or just copy and paste your username to Google Search and you might be surprised at what has been recorded.  I think it was ChrisChris who informed us of this long ago.

RE: gogglebot and others types
Wink, You are absolutely right!    Your login name should be totally separate from your real name, and no specific info about your case or your personal data should ever be posted on an open forum.   I.e.:   Insurance Carrier, Employer Name, Claim #, Adjuster Name, Exact Date of Injury, Your Real Name, etc., etc.   You get the point.    And, it's not a really good idea to use the same username if you are doing internet business elsewhere.    For instance, tweety00, if you make a comment on Youtube, or Amazon.com or post on a date/mate site, and use the exact same username everytime, all that is public information and can be googled.   Scarey!!

Now, if I google chrischris, there are tons of users by that name.   It is not specific to just me, and thus hard to do a positive i.d.

Basically, nothing to be scared about, but something to be aware of when posting.   TongueTongueTongue

Hope everyone has a good day.   I've been working on my WC case since 8 a.m.      It's PQME time.

Spiders are nothing to fear so long as you are mindful over what you put online.

RE: gogglebot and others types
the bot takes in all information that passes across a domain it is operating on. It takes them into a database, and compares data from this site against allllllll the other sites. It then links like data together through a very accurate algorithm google developed.

RE: gogglebot and others types
One way to prevent your PM's from spiders is to either delete them and make sure you also empty the trash can,   or   Export them to your document files on your computer in either HMTL, Text, or EXCEL format.      When you do this make sure you click the box to delete your messages when exported.   You then have a file for your PM's if they contain data you want to save.    You need to do this for your inbox and sent file separately.

It is not a good idea to keep your PM's stored on this database, or any public database,  as they cannot be guaranteed secure.
