Lowe Fishing Boat / need Manual
Does anyone know anyone that may have, or had a 2000 Lowe 16 1/2 foot fishing boat with Steering wheel contrls. I need someone to look into a manual, and tell what the switches to the left of the steering wheel are and what they control. I also need to know the wiring and colored wires for the fish live well in the boat.
My son recently bought this boat for a $1,000.00. It was a Bank repo. it has a Johnson 50 HP outboard engine on it. We got it running, we put it in the water, and we went fishing in it. But all the labels for the switches are missing, need info. Need also fuse location for Live well. I don't want to buy a manual, for I have been through ever inch of this boat already, and I do have the Johnson outbard manual. Reply's are intended solely for informational purposes. BB if you go to http://www.loweboats.com you can at the bottom of the page put in your zip code and it will bring up local dealers, I have 3 in my area , 2 in the Chicago area , with phone numbers etc, You could call them and they may be able to give you the info you need...........Good luck and happy fishing.

RE: Lowe Fishing Boat / need Manual
Thanks Tuffy I will try that again also. I did try some in Indiana, but because it is a 2000 boat, they didn't want to take the time to help me. I did ask, if they would just let me look at their manual, and well you talk about jerks, they were.

RE: Lowe Fishing Boat / need Manual
Bad Boy, I checked with my husband as he restored a 1957 Lonestar last year that took 2 years to do, anyways, he said On the fish live well as far as the wiring it all depends on the manufacturer,, The switches to the left of the steering well could be navigation lights or navigation bilge pump.Sorry couldn't help you out any more.Halftrak

RE: Lowe Fishing Boat / need Manual
Halftrak, thanks. I have a general good idea what the switches do and that, for I own 2 Lund fishing boats. My theroy is, to re-label the switches for my son, and oldest grandson. As your husband may know, like me, sometimes as a boat operator, there are some switches we don't want to leave in the on postion for long periods of time. So to put proper labels on the these switches is my goal. Surely I know I can just work around and use them as I need them, but because this boat is in excellent condition, and had been sitting for the last 5 years un-used by the owner then Repoed, it has very few hours on it. The weather forced the removal of the labels to just vanish. All this boat needed was a battery, good cleaning, and a fuel filter, for the fuel tank had been empty, yet the tank insides were very clean, put gas in it, hooked up water to the motor, and 3 cranks it started right up.
Oh, why not show everyone what your husband boat might look like. Okay I will for you, see below. ![]() Halftrak's hubby boat may look like this. http://imageevent.com/colwell/1957lonestarboat Reply's are intended solely for informational purposes. RE: Lowe Fishing Boat / need Manual
BB - check on ebay and see if you can find the manual. Many times you can find what you are looking for. You would have to buy but would get piece of mind knowing for sure.
I guess boats are different and you can't just flip switches and see what they do? Think I better stick to cars, lol Please click the link below to help provide food for homeless animals. It's free and only takes a second of your time! RE: Lowe Fishing Boat / need Manual
Also if you go on Craigslist.com and go under the fishing boats for sale. Someone might be selling one like that and you can email them.
They may have the manual or be able to tell you what the gear switches are. I go under the boats all the time as I was thinking of buying one. They have ones from 2000. Good luck. carpal tunnel recurrence/ neuropathy / RSD. 1/29/07 injury date. Permanent. PIR settlement 8/4/08 10% |

Is this a aluminum boat? I found one close to that age here that you may contact the person and ask here in NH.http://nh.craigslist.org/boa/797292858.html

RE: Lowe Fishing Boat / need Manual
Sparkey, that is exact to what the boat does look like, a twin photo. I don't think being 1 year off would matter much, as these boats seem to carry over many things from year to year.
On that site it states you can't ask the person anything? Any ideas let me know, for I then will try and contact them, I don't even mind giving them a phone call for long distance cost me nothing. Thanks so much Sparkey. Reply's are intended solely for informational purposes. Sure you can ask. I ask all the time for the people I am interested in. Did you see the email address? If not, let me know and I can ask for you or send you their email address if you cannot see it.
