RE: Garnishment of worker comp checks
I am also receiving work comp benifits ( Iowa they must consider disabilty benifits as wages) and now behind on child support payments because of my Injury) and so they take their chunk out everyweek.Thats ok though at least payments are being made but sure doesnt help much making all ends meet every month with the small amount I get?Take Care,Born

RE: Garnishment of worker comp checks
a garnish is different then a child support lien.
Such a lien generally is one of the few exceptions that the comp system allows to tap a workers disability payments. |
