Enrolled in a college class

RE: Enrolled in a college class
Thank you everyone, one of the biggest challenges I face in enrolling in a college course is lack of concentration.

I believe many injured workers also face this issue for different reasons. I plan to talk to my family doctor about this when I see him Monday.

RE: Enrolled in a college class
BK, concentration is my biggest problem. It is due to the pain meds. I have found that if I study shortly after taking them. The next day I will remember very little of what I studied. Keep us informed on your progress.

I have not taken an on-line course yet, but I will have to take atleast one.

8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. Jesus died for our sins. Soilders died for our freedom.

BK- just remember you don't lose as long you keep trying. I know it will be hard at times to study but keep your eyes on the goal and you will make it. Please remember to take your medications as ordered. If you have a hard time remembering some of the things read to tape player and play it back while fixing supper or laying down to rest. The more you hear or read it the more you will remember.

May God send his angels to hold you in his arms

RE: Enrolled in a college class

Bummer...all good tips. When I took the accounting courses in a college I found that doing my homework as soon as I got home reinforced what I had learned. When taking an online course I had to take notes to remind myself of ceretain important facts. Best of luck.

RE: Enrolled in a college class
I last was enrolled in a college accounting class in 2006 and made mostly A's, got a
97 on the final. This will be my fourth accounting class I have taken.

In past years I have worked as a bookkeeper and accounting clerk for local business, I worked for almost a year for Dept of Corrections tracking inmate funds and doing monthly fiscal reports. I've always liked this type of work and being hearing impaired is not an issue with this type of job.
