RE: Moral compass
AGA, when I worked my last 21 years in Auto/Truck repair at a New Car Dealership. We would prior modern computer and internet, have to be elected to go to school. Our classes were a 16 week college course, performed in only 5 days. Four days were training and studying. Where the 5th day was the testing. Test day was a written test, a book test, meaning you use the book to to find testing answers, and then the last test would a series of 3 hands on testing. You aren't allowed to skip a procedure, for if you do, you fail right then and there. You will not only do your schooling at the school but also at home, maybe only having time to eat and sleep if your luckly 6 hours. Most would pass with a score ranging in the upper 90's so to say, and your sent home with a certifacate. There sometimes would be someone that didn't pass, and you may not see them in the school anymore. This is very true, like I said you had to be elected at your dealer, then the school would say wether or not they want you there. So, it was a major task to stay so current, pass with high to highest of scoring. When being elected it was about only 20% were allowed to show up for school.
There was noway to cheat, for eveyones testing was different from the rest. Reply's are intended solely for informational purposes. They are based on personal opinions, experience, or research and are "not to be taken as fact or legal advice", otherwise, always consult an attorney or a doctor. |

RE: Moral compass
BBBB, I know what you are speaking of. When I was in the military, I had been through that situation and time frame. Many many years ago when I was in the service.
In my mind, the majoritory of rules are based on the few individuals that cause the problem. The rest of us have to suffer due to the few. I did like the testing in the military. It was quick and swift studying and then the test. When I wrote to the instructor about when the time runs out, that means the test is done. I recalled what I had be told about Preparation H. It has a warning that says "do not take orally". I wonder why?????????? 8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. Jesus died for our sins. Soilders died for our freedom. |

RE: Moral compass
I understand exactly what BB is saying and also AQA. I have had the same experiences going to college. Twice a year my entire class from all over the world (even two from Saudi Arabia) had to go to Phoenix AZ to be together for a 3 week resdiency in our Ph.d program. I would have to be in school after breakfast by 8 am, and we would have an hour for lunch then in school until 6 pm, then in teams doing field work until 9 pm. then I would usually have a paper of about 20 pages due each morning, a journal of 900 words about the day before, a written report on the progress of my reseach dissertation from day 1 - 2..(when did I have time to do any updates on it, was always my questions, and be prepared to do a project such as sailing something with all the references etc to support my negotiation dialog etc. I was up all night working as fast as I could and then all day in class for 3 weeks. The last time I did this I was 3 weeks post an emergency historectomy.... It was a lot of fun to be so challenged but it was hectic also...always reminded me of booth camp.. busy with challenges, fears, and success...so much emotion goes into this type of venture.... anyway... good luck AQA I am so proud of you that you are going on to school and sticking to it with lots of morals and ethics.
