Tx Workers Comp records?
How would I go about obtaining my past records dating back to 1982 for previous work related injuries? I am curious to know what my current med staus is in their opinion.

RE: Tx Workers Comp records?
I'd just contact your prior doctor's directly and ask them for a second opinion; they'll contact your current physicans and arrange for records and xrays, etc.

Good advice but going back 26 years it might be hard to find some these docs even if I remembered their names. I was hoping there might be a way to contact WC for my records.
Thanks

dept of Insurance now handles workers comp in texas. here's the contact list and is as good a place as any to start but don't expect much.

you can also try the prior carrier if you remember their name.

RE: Tx Workers Comp records?
I have found by mistake that Dr.'s only hold records for 10 years. It is important to get a copy of your medical records for your WC. After 10 years of no activity the records are disposed of.

Always believe in yourself. No matter how much some people will make you doubt yourself.

Thanks for the help

Glad it worked out. although you don't have any records yet, you can at least ask them to start searching.

I should have at 5 incedents in my file starting in 82 and up to 07.
I am just currious of my overall rating.
Tendons and nerves cut in hand
Knee damage and surgery.
Lower back surgery.
Lower back fusion/surgery.
Run over by heavy equipment with more damage.

unless you have overlapping disability your prior injuries shouldn't matter.
