Sad dust mites/bed bugs?????
The company I work for has dust mites/bed bugs. More than half the center (3 floors) has been bitten at some time or another by these pest. It was reported to the Tx health Department and no one came to investigate because they do not consider it a health threat. This has been goin on for well over a year. The company claims they have sprayed, but we all are still getting bit. Some days the bites are so bad, I just wanna walk out. I have scars, asmtha, cant sleep at night, cant concentrate at work.

My dermatologist did a skin biopsy which was inconclusive, so more tests will have to be be done. It has been determined not to be any type of viral infection. The iinitial test was done a couple of weeks ago. I went back and my dermatologist recommended I do another skin biopsy (This time he took two samples). The "bites" were treated as a skin rash. However, he says it is obvious that it is something biting me at work. Especially if I have new bite marks and other co-workers are finding the same bites on them.

THe bites are starting to be on other parts of my body, such as, neck, buttocks, lower stomach, inside of my thighs..etc. It is the most intense itching, stressful thing that I wouldnt wish on anyone.

My employer is fully aware that we are still getting bitten by whatever, but say they need to know whats biting us so that the pest company can know what to spray for.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isnt it their responsibilty to find that out? If we have told them whatever they are spraying with isnt working, then its time to try something else. It seems as if the pest company is just spraying and taking their money.

Basically what needs to happen is the building needs to be treated, carpet needs to be pulled, and since this is a place thats open 24-7, that would be too expensive.

I need my job, but I cannot continue to work for a company who does not have any regard to my well being. What can I do about this, where are the experts (lawyers, doctors, local health officials) in regards to this matter. We need help and no one seems to take this seriously.

It is so bad for me now..should I file a W. Comp claim? I dont know what to do. I dont believe I will be taken seriously.........HELP!
