Monster canning is easy,just hot......

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

RE: small pleasures
That just reminded me of the canned dilled pickles I still have in my hutch I made when living in ohio and grownig my cucumbers. I enjoyed making them. I made sweet and dilled. I noticed though when I opened one about a year ago, it was mushy. I thought the longer you can the better they become?

I think that is wonderful how you let those two girls help/watch you do that. That will be a memory they will have for life. I love remembering all things when I was little that I did with my grandmother. One of them was she taught me how to knit a poncho for my barbie dolls.. : )

RE: small pleasures
Oh Jayne, I just wanna hug you. I canned 17 quarts of greens this weekend, teaching my 20 year old son and 8 & 10 yr old nephews. They all thought it was great fun, the 2 little ones have grown up in Hamilton ON, so this whole "country life" is a new thing to them, I may turn em into rednecks yet!!!! But, I am paying for it dearly, but wouldn't change anything for the world.

Hugs to ya all,
Sithie
