We all hope though, that each person can have a good outcome from any IME. If not, then the person can be prepaired. I do realize this...I am looking out for myself at times but I'm sure if my attorney thought that any of this was necessary she'd let me know. Aren't I supposed to have some faith in my attorney? I'm sure not all of them all crooks...lol You once told me: I wouldn't worry either way. (Clue) Even if you did (say) had Carpal Tunnel problems before you worked for them. You mostly had never been treated for. So as you see, your past medical Records will just prove you correct in a work injury. Sometimes you just have to let all those things being said to you, to go in one ear, and even out faster of the other ear. Don't worry about the hearing being continued, and don't worry about the IME. Just know what you should say at an IME, and what not to offer and and say. This sounds like one of those times where I need to let all those things being said to go in one ear, and even out faster of the other ear...lol I'm trying to not worry about the IME report...for now I don't know what's in it so I'll wait till then and if it looks like it's not in my favor as my attorney stated we still have the hearing to go to. I ain't giving up the fight.... Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans. |

RE: IME appt.
Well, trying to calm one down before the IME is needed to. I seen no reason why the IME would say, that your injury wasn't work related. I swear to that. I felt the IME would possibly work in your favor. Then, we post the if's and maybe's after the IME to only prepair you for the possibles is all. Letting things go in one ear and out the other isn't a good thing. For then, I would feel I'm typing, and no one is then listening. It's only a knowledge base we are supplying to you. Your attorney felt like I felt, so why would your attorney throw out the fear of god at you? See my point.

You said it...I didn't, I'm only quoting you...not here to say that your advice isn't appreciated...but I'm worried enough with all that is going on and I thought that posting how my IME went would be insightful. I am hoping for the best but my nerves are about shot guys... Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans. |

RE: IME appt.
I was just saying that when a IME doctor says one thing about your injury, that most of the time if not always they go by what the IME doctor says. They can stop medications etc. Such a sad thing that they do not listen to the doctor that has treated you through your whole injury and can listen to a doctor that saw you all but 10 mins. That is the situation right now in my case.
carpal tunnel recurrence/ neuropathy / RSD. 1/29/07 injury date. Permanent. PIR settlement 8/4/08 10% |

RE: IME appt.
it's tough to deal with rationed medical care. I hope the current election will select leaders who can fix our broken health care system.
until they do many americans will struggle with less then they want and expect. |

RE: IME appt.
Just my 2 cents here. My husband finally won his case after 3 years. He saw the same IME every 6 months for 3 years. For 3 years the IME persisted that nothing was worng with him and he could continue to work FT lifting 100-150 pounds. This was inspite of the 8-10 inch scar down him lumbar and the crazy Dr. who did his surgery for no reason LOL
This goes on all the time and sometimes for years. My husband's Dr.'s word was always the one that won. In my case same scenerio except I haven't been in the system as long. Saw an IME 3 times. First two times they said the same as my Dr. I had a nurse who my attorney sent with me the first 2 IME's. The 3rd and last one I had no one with me and miraculously I am totally healed and can reutrn to work with no restrictions.![]() ![]() ![]() Some are honest, some are not. Some IW suffer more than others. 1171.....I have to agree with you . I just got a glimpse of my husband's personal medical bills and would love to know what happens to a human being who doesn't have great insurance. It is so sad, it breaks my heart to think one human is given a chance to live and another doesn't have that chance because of insurance.CAP God is never late. In the end it doesn't matter how many years were in your life but how much life was in your years. |

RE: IME appt.
Nautical,
Never say you are "used" to the pain. People are not meant to live with pain. You have to take care of yourself because trust me "they" are going to take care of the insurance company. Fight everyday to not live in pain, not to short yourself from nothing. Because you should take it as a personal challenge because they work hard to make sure you do without. This I know from experience, it was a hard life lesson. Always believe in yourself. No matter how much some people will make you doubt yourself. |
