cant sleep, yet again. Knee is on fire, swollen, etc. Plus i just looked at the online listing of my WC checks. It shows that i should be getting my overdue check for 5/15 - 5/22, yet today is 5/29 and the check for pay period 5/22 - 5/29 that is actually due tomm isnt even issued yet.

Two checks ago they held a check for 7 days because i missed a PT appointment (which i explained that same day) and now they are all coming a week late. There is no money in my account, no food in my house, and this entire check coming tomm has to go to my car payment so it isnt repo'd. I owe almost 600 in rent.....this just isnt working. I dont even have car insurance or a cell phone anymore.

Is depression, lack of sleep, stress, etc stuff i can figure into this claim? Its a direct result. I used to sleep well, i was happy, now im just a poor sleep deprived cripple. My dad keeps telling me i need a job bringing money in because he cant afford for me to keep missing rent, but i dont see a way out. My car has no insurance, so i cant drive. Rides are hard to find. No cell phone, so i have a pre-paid thats costing me more than its helping me. My knee is screwed and even if i wanted to drop the claim and go to work i cant drive 45min with no insurance. I dont think i can take this anymore. I feel like im so passed my breaking point. I'm living off my dad and friends, and i feel so useless. I was in debt up to my eyeballs before i got hurt, and everyone is at their breaking point with me.

I dont know, i just, i dont know. WC is giving me my full pay, a small 9/hr @ 40hrs, but it doesnt account for overtime i was used to getting. Hell i have literally 1,032.45 coming in per month, and my basic bills are 1400.00 a month. And i was behind when i got hurt. My credit is eliminated, my score is down to 520, i dont think it can even get any lower. I dont even have pain meds, the doctor doesnt think i need any. I'm cleared for work as of the 4th, and WC is giving me a runaround about a second opinion. I had to re-schedule with my lawyer because i have no way there tomm. And to make it worse, i left the IC claims woman a voicemail telling her how unacceptable this all is and im seeing my attorny asap. Bad judgment call on my part but im at my limit.

Sorry guys im just venting. If anyone knows anyone who needs website work done, programming, etc let me know i could use the cash on the side.

Rod, you're more than Welcome to rant all you want, that's what we're here for! I sure wish I could come up with a cure for you, my Bills are lagging a bit also, so I know that stress.All I can say is please hang in there and keep up the fight, and get to your attorney somehow so they can try better to help. Can you have a phone appt. with them? Just a thought and God Bless!

Im sure he will call tomm before i even make it out of bed, and get the details from me. Like right now im starving, and i could enjoy my last 5 bucks at mcdonalds and be happy, but my car cant leave the driveway. lol i mean it could, but theres no gas in it.

Rod...it sounds like you are having a very tough time. I am sorry to hear that any body who is injuried on a job is having to wait for their check. As you said, you were barely making it before and you would work overtime and all so therefore you are living paycheck to paycheck. I wish I could say something that would take away all your fears and concerns right now, but I have no words of wisdom to share tonight. Talk to your dad about how you are feeling and what is happening. Even if he just gives you an ear to hear, or maybe the two of you can do some brainstorming and come up with a plan so you can at least eat. Take care, my thoughts are with you...I hope you get some sleep tonight..that would be very good for you.

There are programs out there to help people with rent & utilities.
Start by contacting your local United Way Chapter. Most United Ways are listed on line, so doing a search should get you the information you need.

Some local churches have programs to help with rent, utilities,
and food.

Share with them your story as you have shared with us.

I am a volunteer coordinator for a United Way funded program.

Contact them and let me know what response you get.

salvation army and others call your loan people tell them whats going on some will allow you to miss a payment or two and add it to the end of the loan....will add you to the 9 oclock

Thanks for the suggestions guys =] Im going to do some side work for my grandmom without pushing myself to make some money. I even considered going through google to find websites that look like junk and offering to revamp them cheap as hell for the owners lol.

Rod...Sorry to read of the troubles...but you are atleast with the right bunch of people. We all understand what you are going through...because most of us are living the same nightmare. Some have gave you ways to get some help...but looks like you have some options of your own too. Please be careful to not make your injury any worse. And as for ranting or venting that is what we are all here to help each other through...the ruff times and good times so don't worry about that. We are happy to have you with us.
