Questions about Carpel Tunnel and WC

My physician said yesterday that it was time for an EMG. She said it's either CT or "overuse syndrome." Lovely. She also said it was time to turn this over to WC. I called my office manager and told her and she was pretty good about it. She is out of the office today, but will be in on Wed, so we are going to call then and get the ball rolling.

That is what my doctor pulled me out of work for after working light duty one handed for 2 months. I had " overuse syndrome". Next diagnosis was tendonitis and anti-inflammitory medications/injections/pain meds were given to me as well as a custom made brace through PT.

Do not be surprised if they give you treatments and send you right back to work with a brace one handed. I was only out of work for about 7 days before they sent me right back to the lab. Is this your dominant hand? Make sure if they do send you back light duty, that YOU stick by what they tell you is your restrictions.

I ended up so bad trying to work with one hand that I got frozen shoulder on top of the overuse syndrome. It only made it that much longer in PT/OT after. I strongly feel if they would of kept me out of work and got to rest my hand alittle more , and went to therapy, I would not be as bad as I am today. Now I have severe neuropathy which I feel 24/7 along with shoulder pain/neck pain.
