I'm not sure which year was the last year they were made. All mine are 2007. They could have made some without the motto and such. It will be interesting to find out. Do they make a new $1.00 coin every year?

Oh and my guess is ice cream.

Tuffy Wrote:Red got the answer to my question, Hoover Dam is right. There sure is alot of history behind the building of that Dam. I have been to see it 4 times and down into it 3 times. Good job Red.

Will have to give AQA's question some thought. How many guesses do we get??

Hurt, are all your coins $1.00 and are they new.... Maybe a few were made without the motto.

I will be on and off today. Today was finals at school so a have the weekend off. Next summer semester starts on Monday.

Anyway, I only have four hints to give. I will give one now. I needed to know the answere to the question for a finals test back in 1992.

Who beat me to Hoover / Boulder Dam ????Cool

Rising more than 700 feet above the raging waters of the Colorado River, it was called one of the greatest engineering works in history. Hoover Dam, built during the Great Depression, drew men desperate for work to a remote and rugged canyon near Las Vegas. There they struggled against heat, choking dust and perilous heights to build a colossus of concrete that brought electricity and water to millions and transformed the American Southwest.

Why am I still think Golden Gate Bridge though... Tongue

Stuffed chicken with snow Tongue

1626 Sir Francis Bacon died. An English statesman, philosopher and author of 'Novum Organum', a work on scientific inquiry. Some also claim he wrote the plays attributed to Shakespeare. He died after having stuffed a dressed chicken with snow to see how long the flesh could be preserved by the extreme cold. He caught cold and died from complications about a month later.
