Please add my mom to your list of prayers. My sister just phoned me to let me know she received a message from our mother. She was rushed to the hospital today with some kind of infection that requires surgery. My mom didnt leave all the details with my sister, she had just left a voicemail message for her. So I have no idea where this infection is or what shes having surgery on. I cant reach my stepdad, nor do I know any of the hospitals down there to call. My mom lives in hemet (sp) california.

Update.

My sister is a goober lol... She called me and had me worried sick that our mother was undergoing surgery. My mom called me late last night. Shes home from the hospital. The message my sister got was from saturday when she went in. I know this isnt funny. but its a sigh of relief that it wasnt anything serious. She had a boil on her butt that drained a few weeks ago. Well it got very infected and she was running a 103 temp. So she went to the hospital, they admitted her. Hooked her up to IV's full of antibiotics. Yesterday morning, they made like a cross where the boil was to drain out anything else there was. She said the cut was about 2 1/2 inches deep as it was long. Her white blood count was at 31000 eeks very high. Shes home resting needless to say shes a pain in the (Jayne's lame attempt to bypass the Bad Word Filter) (her words lol)

Thanks for the prayers. I could of killed my sister for freaking me out like she did.

prncess....glad things aren't as bad as you thought BUT find out if your mom has MRSA. it starts as a boil, heals from inside out and is very contagious and dangerous. Don't want to scare you but my daughter had it last year and it's a horrible infection that is resistant to most antibiotics. If you can find out if the hopital took a culture from the boil you'll be on the right path. Her next step would be to have an Infectious disease Dr. follow up with her treatment. Sometimes you think it's gone and it's not. Do some reading on it. It's very widely spread today. Let me know. It lives in the sinuses, under the nails, etc.

cappy- we know all about mrsa.. My grandma had it, got it from her dr. Now I know where I get all my boils and cysts from, my mother. We are both very prone to them. I cant even tell you how many times Ive had them and had to go to the hospital for them.

prncess....just thought I would throw it in. My daughter's husband had it twice on the same knee. Dr. never did a culture and my daughter ended up getting it. We had never heard of it before. Both are fine now but theyhad both kids tested and went on a crusade of cleaning, washing, bed changing, bandages all in plastic baggies. it took my daughter 4 months for it to heal. What a nightmare. How are you today? better frame of mind? looking forward to your date? I think it's great that the first date is with you and Geena. Are you still nervous?

Ive been getting the boils since I was a child. Ive had them on my inner thighs, where the leg bends in by the crotch area, on my breasts ect... They are a royal pain in the behind. They have run cultures on all mine just to find they were just an infection and nothing more. I will ask my mom when she gets up if they did cultures on hers. She said it was so infected that it the stuff ooozing was stinky.

Yes, i am VERY nervous about my date. Geena is very excited to go to the carnival. I am bringing my sling with me for the just incases. I was really excited when i got dressed. I put on a pair of black capris I bought many moons ago size 5/6 and the sucker fit! WOOOOOHOOOOO. So, im wearing black capris, with a white tank top in hopes the sun will tan or freckle my scars. I did my nails and geenas too. I spoke with him this morning to confirm and geena was yelling in the backround, mommy is that my new daddy on the phone lol. I was so embarassed.

The sun is shining, its very nice out. I feel great and as soon as I put my face on, I will look great too!! When I get home, I will post how it went!
