;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

RE: Been There....Support for a Military Mom
Spring, That poem tugged at my heart, I have no one at this time in the Military, Did have 2 nephews and a neice who were in Desert Storm, and they came home safe. God Bless all our Military.

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass.
It's about learning to dance in the rain.

Tuffy....Yes...When ever I hear someone has a love one in the Military it always touches my heart...just to know that they are so willing to give of themselfs. And specially in our world as it is today. Going back to desert storm now to Iraq. Where we as American agree on the war or not...WE ALL have to REMEMBER we have AMERICIANS doing as they are told. RIGHT or WRONG they deserve to be NOT FORGOTTEN. They also have families here that worry everyday for their safety. So if I can be there friend I want to be there. THey all are always in my thoughts and prayers.

RE: Been There....Support for a Military Mom
Hi all...I am not from a military family, but our family became one. My husband was in during Vietnam and in the army. I was in the Navy and sent to Desert Storm. My Son was in the airforce for 10 years and he is still in the reserves. He has been to Iraq 3 times since the war began. My son in law was in the marines and he went to Somolia and desert storm. We were in during the same years and got out about the same time. I have two uncles who died in Vietnam, and a grand father who died in WWII. There have been a few other uncles who where in the Navy or Marines through the years. My family is large as my dad as 13 brothers and sisters and my mom as 12 brothers and sisters. I have 72 first cousins. Compared to the numbers in my family, my immediate family is really the only lifer military people. The military experience and life is more than any civilian can ever understand. It is all about pride in your country and other servicemen. You are waking down a street and the sun is setting suddenly you hear the trumpet and the flag ceromony begins. You stop in your tracks and salute. It is just a life with a feeling to togetherness or oneness. You are so much more aware of the world around you because it affects your life more than the typical american. There is so much more that could be said about the military life but I have said a lot already. Spring I am glad that you started this thread. It gives us all, and especially for those of us who have spent some time in the forces to reflex back and be thankful for an opportunity to serve our country.

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.

And your right Red no civ can ever understand the chill or pride in hearing taps...or seeing our flag it just means something different to someone willing to die for it not say they are but are really there day in day out...it is something you just cant explain.......our best and brightest our brave couragest men and women who put their lives on the line so that we can all live free........
It just amazes me that any american can not want to salute these men and women and to see that they get all the equipment, medical and good food and housing they need to protect them while they protect us.......
